Thieboudienne from Senegal

This Senegalese traditional dish is made from rice, fish and tomato sauce and is flavoured with spiced onions, carrots, cabbage, cassava and peanut oil. The interesting part is, a dish from the deep south American called Savannah red rice is almost the same thing as Thieboudienne the senegalese Dish – many believe it was taken to the new world from here and adapted by savannah people.
